Ear styling is a bespoke in person service that we offer. It would be difficult to assess the angles and placements of existing or desired piercings virtually.

To properly select piercings and jewelry for a client, we must be able to physically manipulate the ear.

We are a private studio that caters to a one on one experience for all appointments booked to ensure you get our undivided attention during your time with us.

Unfortunately, Paloma Piercing is not wheelchair accessible. Our studio is located on the second floor of a building without an elevator, requiring two flights of stairs to reach us. If you would like an appointment with Mina or Marilyn and need an accessible space, please contact us via email. We will do our best to arrange your appointment at an alternative location that can accommodate you

No. This fee will only be charged for instances including if you no call/no show your existing appointment, or attempt to cancel/reschedule in less than a 12 hour window.

For the sake of your healing, we like to cap the number of new piercings you receive to no more than 3 to 4 in a single appointment.

Lobe piercings on both ears can be performed at the same time, while cartilage is done one ear at a time so that you are able to comfortably sleep on the opposite side.

If you would like to change jewelry on multiple existing piercings during your appointment, you have the option to add on more time during booking.

Our scheduling calendar is open up to 30 days in advance. Due to the nature of Marilyn and Mina’s personal schedules, it is difficult to book appointments any further out than 30 days in advance. If you have a special scheduling request, you can email us and we will try to accommodate you as best we can, but usually you would just need to wait until 30 days from your preferred appointment date to be able to book.

Yes. Every client has their own profile and history in our point of sale system so we kindly ask that all parties have their own separate appointments. You can book back to back and come in together of course. Groups of 3 people or more, please email us for scheduling.

If it comes from an unknown origin or is an improper size or style we will politely decline.

You are welcome to bring jewelry to your appointment so that our piercers can take a look at if you aren't certain.

Mina is now performing piercings on minors age 6 - 17. Minors age 14- 17 years old can receive all face piercings (excluding cheeks) all ear piercings, and navel piercings. Minors 13 and under can only receive earlobe piercings. Minors must be accompanied by their LEGAL guardian. Proof of age and guardianship must be provided at the time of the appointment. Government issued Learners Permits, Drivers Licenses, Passports, or Birth certificates are suitable identification for minors. School IDs would not be considered valid unless they have the minors birthdate on them.

At your styling appointment, the service fee for the styling itself is $100. If you decide to get piercings during your appointment, the piercing service fees are as follows: $40 for one piercing, $70 for two piercings, or $80 for three piercings. Please note that we typically don't perform more than three piercings in a single session to ensure optimal healing.

Stylings are usually done using high-quality solid gold jewelry—whether it’s yellow, rose, or white gold. The price for each jewelry piece generally ranges from $100 to $300, depending on the design and company. We also offer premium pieces that may exceed $300, as well as simpler pieces, like a thin gold hoop, which can be as affordable as $50.

For a complete ear styling, there is a $500 minimum per ear, which is based on purchasing jewelry for at least three piercings, with the possibility of adding additional piercings to achieve a cohesive, balanced look. You can just style one ear, and both do not have to be done at your appointment.

However, it's important to remember that the final cost will depend on the specific jewelry you select. Most stylings fall in the range of $800 to $2,500 depending on the complexity of the design and the jewelry chosen.

A styling session is more like an ear makeover, and if you don’t have any piercings (or only one or two), there isn’t much to style—kind of like trying to decorate an entire house when only the kitchen is built!

If you’re looking for help with piercing placement and jewelry selection, you’ll want to book a piercing appointment instead. The maximum number of piercings we can perform in one session is three to allow for proper healing. Your best option is to book a “3 Piercing Appointment.” When filling out the form, in the section asking which piercings you’d like, simply write “to be decided.” During your appointment, we’ll help you choose the best placement and jewelry for your new piercings!

In fact, approximately 60% of our clients travel to see us, with many taking quick flights in the morning, visiting the studio for their appointment, and returning home in the afternoon. This is especially common for clients from nearby cities like San Diego, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.

For those traveling from farther away, we are conveniently located near State Route 51, and there are several hotels within a three-minute drive of our studio. If you’re booking a styling appointment, rest assured that our two-hour sessions provide ample time for a comprehensive consultation, styling, and piercings—all in a single visit.
